I grew up in Salem, Oregon among a creative family who had a flare for the unique. After college hopping for a few years I joined the U.S. Coast Guard where I became one of the first Rescue Swimmers. With a photojournalism background I continued taking photo's along the way I often considered the idea of pursuing my passion for photography full time. Being a little leery of taking the personal business plunge it wasn’t until my son Hank, in all of his 8 years of worldly wisdom had an idea, “Dad, I know what would be the best job for you. You should take pictures, sell them to people and play ball with me all day.” Who can argue with a business plan like that? With that our business was started and years later here we are.

When not behind the lens I can be found writing/photographing for The Daily Astorian, spending time with my beautiful bride and business partner, Pam (the brains in the Tremain family) and with our three kids: Nistassa, Hank, and our newest addition Molly. We and “Max the Wonder Dog” can usually be found pursuing our love of traveling to new locations, good coffee, great friends, and obsession for the outdoors and all it encompasses. Whether it be paddling the remote waters of Alaska, backpacking to new places, or cutting fresh lines down Tahoe’s KT-22, we love being outside!
